Aaron Hughes- Senior Pastor
My road into a full-time vocational ministry was long and curvy to say the least. Lots of stops along the way. I certainly felt a “call” early on, but never truly knew exactly what, when or where it would be. After graduating from Southeast Missouri State with a degree in Business Administration I spent the better part of a decade working in various sales and operation roles in MO and TX.
It’s funny, looking back, how clearly God was using these experiences to prepare me for the eventual “call” to Hot Springs!
There aren’t words to describe how excited I am to have an opportunity to serve at Hot Springs Wesleyan Church. We’re thrilled to serve in a church committed to “overflowing” into the world. I’m passionate about sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and loving on this group of believers. I’m convinced I have the best “job” in the world.
When I’m not at the church I enjoy spending time with my three amazing kiddos (Adeline, Grayston, and Harper) and my beautiful wife Courtney. I’m an aspiring fly fisherman and hunter, aspiring the key word there, and a die-hard University of Kentucky basketball fan.
Courtney Hughes- Church Administrator
The first time I truly experienced God is when I was in the mountains! Being outdoors has always been my happy place, so much that I graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science in Recreation with an emphasis in outdoors and therapeutic. Since my mountaintop experience, I’ve always felt a calling to serve. I spent several years serving in a church in Texas and now I am incredibly blessed to serve in the most beautiful town alongside my hubby. I am also blessed to serve as the District Administrator for the Northwest District of the Wesleyan Church.
I have three awesome kiddos that make me laugh every day. In my free time, I enjoy sipping on coffee, being outdoors, baking and jogging.
Seth Pucket- Youth Director
I grew up in the area and graduated from Hot Springs High School (2005). I’ve attended the Hot Springs Wesleyan church since I was a child. After High School, I attended and graduated from the South Dakota School of Mines with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. After graduating from college I took a job working as an engineer for a communications company in Alaska. I worked in Alaska for about 4 years before moving back to the area to help run the family ranch and to pursue other business opportunities. I started helping with the youth group in the fall of 2014 and was asked to start leading the group in the fall of 2015. I'm looking forward to seeing what God does in the lives of the young men and women in our group.
Josh Scott- Business Manager
I was born and raised in the Denver Metro area of Colorado. At the age of 21, my now wife and I moved to Hot Springs for what we thought would be a short period of time. Thirteen years later, my family and I love this community and cannot imagine leaving.
I graduated from Chadron State College in 2011 with degrees in Mathematics, Business and Statistics. After teaching high school mathematics for five years, I moved into a career as an agent with New York Life.
The two greatest blessings in my life are my beautiful and supportive wife, Amanda, who has journeyed life together with me for the past sixteen years and our amazing daughter Addison. There is nothing more important to us than spending time as a family, whether it is hiking, fishing, camping or cheering on our Denver Broncos!
While I was raised in a Christian household, I never found my true love, passion and devotion to becoming a follower of Christ until I became a part of the Hot Springs Wesleyan Church. We love this church, the family we have gained by being a part of it, and its dedication to overflowing into the community. It is my honor to serve our church in the capacity of Business Manager.
Amanda West-Kids Spring Director
My happy place has always been with children. For as long as I can remember I have wanted to work with children. Growing up I babysat and helped with children's church. I grew up in a Christ-filled home traveling the world with my family as my dad served in the Army. As an adult, I married Perry in 2002. God has taken us on a wonderful adventure. We moved to Wyoming and started foster care and were blessed to have taken care of 29 children, God allowed us to keep 3 sweet kids Sheldon, Serenity, and Konnor. We moved to Edgemont in 2015 to be closer to family and to be in our home church. I love coffee and scrapbooking our family's adventures and teaching my kids all about Jesus.
